Plumbers were generally friendly and seemed, so far as I can tell, to carry out the work efficiently. Minor disappointments were that the arrival time was slightly after the end of the specified interval and my statement of where the mains had to be turned off was initially questioned, although I was well aware of this from previous plumbing work. I do wonder if procedures could not be altered to allow some direct conversation between the plumber and customer before arrival of the former. In my original telephone booking I mentioned that I was sure I'd need new taps but the plumber needed to go away for an hour to get these. I feel this delay could perhaps be avoided.
