Boiler Repairs Friern Barnet

Got an appointment very quickly; received the pre-appointment call and turned up on time. Worked through the job efficiently and explained things well. Am considering giving them more work. Charge by the hour makes it a bit expensive. Would prefer a half-hourly rate.

I called out PlumbLondon for a faulty boiler. I had a 7-10am slot and they came at 830am so I didn't have to wait too long, and they fixed the problem quickly so the cost wasn't too expensive. Professional and efficient.

Engineer Ivo was professional and quietly efficient and definitely 'one of the good guys' in the world of plumbing and gas safety. He was thorough in servicing the boiler. He also exchanged a valve in a leaking tap, a job I had started but gave up on, as I could not get the old valve out. This was obviously a minor plumbing job, but he did this well and did not waste any time. The charge for each job was very reasonable, and I would definitely use him again in the future.

Engineer came for an evening appt to fix a leaking shower. As it was leaking internally it needed replacing so made a further appt for the following week. It took ages to find the stopcock for the shower and seal it off, the engineer had to get another part and freeze the pipe as it was broken, then replaced the shower. He was very professional and did a good job. I still had to pay the initial call out charge and the following very expensive replacement. I had to pre-pay half the fee as the engineer was expected to be at the property between 3-4 hours. He took about half that time even with the problem of the stopcock. Very expensive but a good job done.

Malemko is incredible -- not only is he an excellent plumber, but he's also an electrician, and therefore was able to troubleshoot when an electrical problem cause the boiler to switch off the morning after installation. Further onto that, he's an incredibly lovely person (and very patient with my yappy dog :) ). So grateful for his help! Like

Just great. Fab from start to finish. Great customer care over the phone, fair and transparent pricing, and excellent service. Will absolutely use them again next time I need something fixed or installed.

Email Boxing Day overnight request for callback answered promptly next morning. Competent engineer arrived two hours later (as promised). Repaired boiler and restored heating and hot water in about an hour. Repair has lasted 24 hours (unlike some previous!) Four stars not five because of price (£60 per half hour) - but maybe am living in the past and that is now normal.

Excellent service throughout. I’m very impressed with the prompt service from the team (especially as it’s mid-winter!). The main engineer, Simon, certainly know his stuff. He and the team installed my new boiler quickly, efficiently with minimum of fuss. I would certainly recommend this company to anyone. Thanks to all.

I've used Plumb London for a couple of years now and continue to be very pleased with the service provided (from installation of a new boiler to replacing the silicone in my shower). Always turn up when they say they will, really know their stuff and provide value for money.

Excellent engineer. He explained options (more expensive, less expensive) very patiently and advised on the best compromise. Very happy. But to be honest we have been using PlumbLondon for years and we are very happy with them.

Steve did an amazing job, checking all the bathroom fittings in advance, keeping us posted of progress while we were away and pulling out the stops to finish before we got back. The arrangements for the Bathroom work, which were quite complex, were well handled and I appreciated the time and consideration put into making this work as it was part of a bigger job. There were a few snags with the work but they were dealt with speedily and effectively I am now really happy with the completed job. Steve was a joy to work with.

Radiator removal for plastering. Plumb London were very good. I needed 3 radiators temporarily removed so plastering could be carried out and had been left in the lurch that morning by a plumber who had assured me that he was coming to carry out the job. They came out the same day within 3 hours of my call and carried out the task quickly and efficiently with no mess whatsoever. The charging structure was made very clear on the phone beforehand so there were no nasty surprises. I would definitely use them again.

Brandon did a fantastic job of tracing… Brandon did a fantastic job of tracing and fixing a slow drip coming from somewhere under the floorboards. I wasn’t sure how he would ever find it without pulling up half the floor, but he did it with minimal disruption.

The engineer turned up during the agreed time slot, carried out the inspection efficiently, and even fitted a new thermostat there and then despite this not forming part of the original brief. Good service.

We had a pre-Christmas nightmare boiler failure and these guys were brilliant at getting someone out quickly, and then getting an installation booked in quickly. Once on site, they were lovely to deal with, professional, courteous and clearly knew what they were doing. Hopefully I won't need another new boiler any time soon but I'd have them back in if so. Definitely recommended.

These guys are completely brilliant. So efficient, so helpful and so knowledgeable. I am a reasonably demanding customer and expect top service especially when paying several thousand pounds for a new boiler with all the trimmings. They get full marks - I cannot fault them and they deserve to go from strength to strength.

We were in a `panic` as we had lost all hot water and most of our cold water (as well as problems with our water softener). Jack at reception was reassuring, professional and very helpful. Having contacted the company on tuesday afternoon, he arranged for a representative (Adam) to come Wednesday morning. Adam was on time and was very pleasant, capable and efficient. He quickly diagnosed the issue, sorted out what he could and ordered the parts necessary. As Adam was later unavailable (for when the parts arrived) , Jack sent James to finish the job. He was also on time, also very pleasant and very professional. He completed the work quickly and efficiently. We would have no hesitation in recommending their services.

A good service provided, both the plumber/engineer and the office staff were very friendly and helpful. Communication could be better however, as I had to chase twice to check on the progress of the plumber who was delayed from a previous job, and I never received any pre-appointment calls.

A good service but with post script I think I wrote a review. Perhaps on my phone. I will do another. Kitchen hot water running very slowly. Matt came. Diagnosed probably low water pressure which is a matter for Freeholder/Camden Council. He cleaned the nozzle of the spout. Helped a little. Matt very professional and helpful. Cheerful. So service was good. PS. However the on off handle to the water spout now keeps falling out. I think there is a thread on the handle but with arthritic hands and not so good eyesight I am not having much success in keeping the handle/lever fixed in. Any help would be apprfeciatged.

Very happy with this excellent service… We have used Plumb London twice now to fix toilet plumbing issues at a property we rent out. In each case the service has been faultless. Plumb London liaise with our tenant to find a suitable time to come and have been able to come out next day on both occasions. Our tenant also confirmed the plumber was courteous, tidy and the plumbing issue quickly resolved. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Plumb London and will have them on speed dial for any future plumbing needs!

Installation if new boiler Our plumbing and heating engineer was extremely efficient, friendly and helpful. He explained what he was doing throughout the installation and gave us all the information we needed when it was finished. We are very pleased with our new boiler and the improvements to the radiators.

We had an issue with our boiler and called Plumb London to fix it. Rates are reasonable, everyone I dealt with on the phone was very helpful, and the engineer diagnosed and fixed the problem swiftly. However, booking a time for them to come that didn't conflict with my own working hours (9-6) turned out to be pretty difficult. The engineer for the initial diagnosis was running three hours behind (which I found out an hour after he was supposed to arrive), so I had to reschedule, and he ultimately arrived three hours after scheduled for this rearranged appointment. Both occasions required me (needlessly in the end) going into work late/leaving early. After I complained, the company offered to discount my diagnostic bill for the inconvenience, but only if I went on to book the quoted repair work with them, which is a little less than generous in my opinion. Getting said repair work booked in was tough too. It took multiple calls (and some promised callbacks that never came) to get it scheduled, plus some confusion from Plumb London's end the day before the appointment about what had actually been arranged. Still, everyone I dealt with was pleasant, and the problem has now been resolved thanks to a very good engineer. If you work from home and can afford to be flexible with your appointments, you won't have a problem. But if you have a tight schedule, it might be better to go with a more established local place.

Very professional company I contacted the PlumbLondon twice. The staff who answer the phone are very efficient. I appreciated only being charged for the initial call out. Both plumbers were very professional and could explain what the problem was. I needed to replace a tap and was a bit disappointed that there is a minimum charge of an hour if you provide your own rather than get them to buy one for you.

Routine service - your engineer says all is well - hope he is right. Arrived in timescale agreed, calling me 20 minutes in advance to give expected arrival time, and all was left tidy when he finished. Helped me to reset thermostat and timer heating controls, which I can't see clearly in their position above my head..

Excellent job and advice Our problem was swiftly diagnosed and various options given on how to proceed. We needed a new boiler and I am confident we were well-advised on the best new model and warranty. Oruc returned a few days later and did a neat job, completely painless for us. Highly recommend this company- we will retain them for yearly servicing.
